Buddhism‘s emphasis on “truth” includes a realistic acceptance of aging, health and sickness, and end-of-life. However, beyond acceptance and preparation for the inevitable changes of the body and mind that all of us must face one day, these same teachings (and related meditation practices) also provide a critical and deeper understanding of how to live fully in every moment throughout one’s whole life. This program will relate to aging, sickness, and death as liberation teachings, will include guided meditation, and teacher-led conversation, as well as periods of silence.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend–open to beginners and experienced meditators.
Coffee, tea, and light snacks will be provided. Please bring your own lunch. Full use of WIMC kitchen will be available.
