Have you considered attending a residential meditation retreat but don’t know what it would entail? Do you wonder sometimes if retreat is for you or not? Perhaps you are just curious about the long history of retreat practice in the Buddhist tradition? If you have never been on a silent meditation retreat there might be many questions: What would the schedule be like? How much time is spent meditating? How does retreat differ from meditating at home or at your local meditation center? What happens on retreat other than meditation? Why do retreats emphasize silence and how much time is spent in silence? Is retreat suitable for me…am I suitable for it?

The Residential Retreat Information Session is for anyone who would like to learn more about meditation retreats. During this short (one hour) virtual session WIMC’s guiding-teacher, Chris Crotty, will offer an overview of retreat practice and what to expect, followed by time for a discussion and question and answer period.

Open to anyone including those who have already participated in a retreat and would like to learn more or have questions they would like to ask. Attending the information session is independent from registering for a retreat; there is no expectation or requirement for retreat participation.
